i tried the spray paint on mine but all it did was soak it up but didnt cover ne thing up....... u understand wut i mean....

Yeah it's a foam type material. Mine doesn't look bad enough to justify painting it. I reused the clips and they were fine.

a few companies make like dynamat to put there as a replacement. do a search and you'll ifnd some stuff. it would look better and hopefully keep it nice and quiet.

I just went outside to put mine back on and hosed if off before I put it back on. Well, needless to say, its still laying in the driveway. The thing weighs a ton and I cant pick it up without it bending. I hope I didnt ruin it. I guess I'll just have to wait it out.
