Hey guys,

So I just wanted a quick opinion from you guys. I have that good old squeaking in the front of my car. It's happens when I go over speed bumps, pot holes, even when the car isn't moving and I just turn the wheel back and forth. Now, do you guys think it's the sway bar bushings? Ball joints? A midget rubbing two pieces of plastic together? I'm just looking for your assumption before I start buying replacement parts and what not. Thanks!

I have the same issue. My ball joints are shot and my struts are factory. I'm going to have my mechanic look.

Those sounds are caused by the rubber bushings that dry rot over time. In some cases a silicon grease spray will quite them down (never use WD40). The sway bar bushings are the most common, then the shock bushings and the control arms bushing.

As you stated the infamous squeak. Most likely sway bar bushing. See sticky above for directions. Measure and then buy the correct size, RockAuto has them for great price. Easy job and inexpensive. Start with this first. Post back your results.
