That looks like it was done in a 2011+ Edge with the upgraded Sony headunit

Yup, the MFT system on the Edge is pretty much the same as the Explorer...I can't wait to put the update on my mom's 2011 Edge

Very cool. I always wanted to be able to update the actual background of the wallpaper and not just on the one,blank screen. Although I am sure it had something to do with very detailed photos washing out the buttons on the screen. Nonetheless, thanks for posting. I would not have even tried to do this knowing it wasn't possible (wallpaper on home screen) on ver 2.11.
