So after messing with balljoints all day yesterday due to sticky bolts and old balljoints i was hopeing that today would be a better day. On todays agenda all i wanted to do was get tires and an alignment. Well go to wal-mart at 8 place is dead and just a couple ppl there getting oil changes they tell we will get started on it right away so i go and walk around. Well my truck sits in the bay for an hour before anyone one starts on it and i get out of there around 12. I then head to the alignment shop no problem there until i realized wal-mart had put the wrong kinda of tire up from instead of the LT235/75/R15 in the tire i run they put the P235/75/R15 on but just the front the backs were the LTs. So i go back and 20 mins later all is correct. I dont think i will ever go back to walmart for tires again. Anyone have a similar story?

I dont have a story like that, but i do know that i WONT go to walmart. I went to Discount Tire here near me and 20 mins my truck was in, tires changed, balanced and i was good to go. If i knew that someone there knew what they were doing id go but no one at home does so ill stay away from there.

Left a buddies apartment at around 10am to get my tires changed...by 10:40 i was out and headed towards Aamco Transmissions (also another place ill never go again). went there to see if there was any way to disable my front driveshaft, they said no so i left. Headed over to Opry Mills Mall and looked around Bass Pro Shops for a while then headed over to pick out an engagement ring, picked it out and had it re-sized and was out of the mall by noon. This was also 2 days before thanksgiving.

I had my oil changed by Wal-Mart once, wow, never again. I changed my oil myself this last time, and those idiots threadlocker'd my drain plug and got Hercules to put on my oil filter, it was ridiculous. I also had them check my battery, they told me it was fine. My car stalled out on me a couple days later, took it to AutoZone, the battery was kaput. Wal-Mart is great for putting small businesses out of business, not much else, I'm afraid.

i love wal-mart

looking at people in there makes me feel so good about myself and my life.

i would never ever let them near one of my vehicles though

wandering around the store drinkin beer and eatin LuckyMcCharms is a different story though...

I got tires there once because of a tight budget...

I hated it. Took them like 3 hours. Which meant I was trapped in that place by myself for three hours in a store full of people whose collective IQ was half of mine. I will never do that again.

One thing interesting, I know they were supposed to check my fluids when they did it, as soon as I got it back the low oil light came on. Which meant is more than a quart low. Next time I'll go somewhere better, no matter what it costs.

Well, I have NEVER heard of anyone being satisfied with Wal-Mart work, my grandma (after me and my dad repeatedly told her NOT TO GO THERE) went, got new (NO name brand tires) (Douglases or something like that) And they put someone elses car wheel back on, so my gramma had 3 taurus wheels and tires, and then one (idr) wheel and tire on there, car sat crooked, she took it back right away though.

Then my friends dad took his truck there for i think an alignment, on the front drivers side rim, they put TWO nuts back on, just hand-tightened, and his wheel came off driving down the road, luckily there wasnt too much damage done.

Theres a few more but im on the phone lol
(I would never goto wal-mart for anything involving my truck, I had figured that out when i was about 12 lol)

Yeah, it might be a little more cash, but you also have the good safe feelings of not driving out of the place wondering how far you're gonna get lol

Yea i found out with my 92, when i fix something on it, or make something on it better, that leads to another problem lol.

But yeah I was behind my friend and his dad when his wheel fell off, that was crazy, this was about 6 years ago, and just about 4 months ago, seen this new big jeep rollin out of the lot, so they were a few cars ahead of me, 2 lane road, and BOTH of the front wheels literally fell off, that was crazy, i wish i could have pulled over and watched what happened, but yeah i seen the drivers side wheel like wobbling then BAM!

That had nothing todo with Wal-Mart, but it just popped into my head ;p

went there to get some goodyear wranglers and tried to get them to drop the price a little cuz down the road they were cheaper and the guy said in your dreams man and walked away laughing. called the guy a a$$hole and left and told his manger his desk guy needs to change his tone. In the end walmart can chew on my A$$

haha yea that would have been a crappy experience for the driver of the jeep i can imagine. My g/fs brother is a certified welder might see if he can fab me up some things i have been thinking about doing to my X for examble a safari rack and maybe a tube push bar :) cinsidering he has the metal laying around their family shop and he isnt working at the moment either damn oil field bust. hell if we have something that looks good might be the start of a business lol

Dang me being me (i speak my mind haha) i would have walked up to him and told him wtf was up :p

well idk haha

but yeah, V8power, those safari racks look pretty good, put a few big lights on there too though that would really set it off, i wish i had access to a welder and pipe, i would have a blast!

yea in that case there would have been can i speak to the manager of this whole store lol. i cant weld to save my life but i can slitly put what i want built on paper and get the dimentions for things the only problem i kinda run into with it is the weight issue and where to mount for sturdiness. Ive repaint my original racks on there once and noticed there aint much holding them on there.

i was thinking some 1inch square tubing and some tabs in atleast the front 2 corners for lights pissibly even the back 2. me personally i would like mine to go the full length of the roof cinsidering i have no sun roof but keeping in mind not to hinder the back hatch opening properly but once again need sturdy mounting point just kinda worried about the whole weight issue

Wal-Mart had to buy my friend a new car once, he took it to them and they forgot to put the oil drain plug BACK IN. He headed home (a 45 mile drive) and well I bet you can guess how the story ends...

I won't take them any vehicle ever.

Wow, thats crazy, what kind of car was it?
And did what did they do when he got ahold of them? haha
