I searched for the forums for some info on the recent problem I am having with my 98 Explorer 4.0 SOHC but could not find the exact situation that is occurring so I will try and see if anyone can help on here.
Two times in the last few days after starting my Exp I hear a pop noise in my speakers then a sudden loss of power (almost feels like the tranny slipping) then the Theft light starts blinking. About a second later no power issues or sounds through the speakers but the Theft light remains blinking. I'll pull over turn the car off then start it again and the Theft light goes off and everything else is back to normal. I'm stumped...
