The price is right, and it looks like the montero has a similiar hood/windshield angle as our trucks. The airbox looks to be in about the same spot as well. I may just order one and go for it, but I'd like to hear what you all think on it.

If that works you have to tell me man.

I asked them if they can make any for a 4.0 Ex. But if you decided to purchase the one they have let us know if it works.

I received a responce and this is what they said.

I'd be like I will give you 100 photos and with rulers and such and then pay full price for the snorkel just make it haha. There are so many explorers out there tell them to go to the mall and take some measurements of a random dudes car. fyi I'm just kidding about. I'm a big fan of snorkels.

youd probly be better off just making one from scratch. you can buy the head seperate. search snorkle on the forum and youll see what alot of us have done

I would but I really like the look of the snorkels that pop out of the fender. I don't think anyone has ever custom fabbed one like that. Though I did see a nicely modded one on an Aussie x using a 70 series cruiser snorkel. That is my goal. On another note do you guys think you will lose any power using the snorkel or have any problems in the rain?

Do you run filters in the snorkel or do you just run your normal filter in the stock box? I love the look of a snorkel hope to do one soon.

Let me know if you get one that works!!!

I would recommend making one yourself. I wouldn't want to risk buying a non-applicable item. You would really have to measure the montero for dimensions on the fender and windshield to be sure if you don't want to do the work yourself. You can make one pretty easily though. I just google image searched "cone filter snorkel" and got some great results. You can make one with flex hosing or pvc tubing. If you want to go the extra mile, like I mentioned earlier, you can measure a certain vehicles fender and windshield dimensions and find one that would work.

After deciding how you are going to make it, you can layout tape and drill a hole with a holesaw, then clean up the edges. Before this you will need to make sure that you have some sort of routing replacing the stock air tube and airbox assembly as well as the stock filter.

Here are some sites for ideas. Hope this helps. Good luck.
