I am wondering if anyone here has changed out their calipers / rotors / pads to get better stopping power, and what components they used and how pleased they are with the results?

I did the powerstop bare rotors and ceramic pads, and stainless steel brake lines. Very happy with the results.

POWER STOP Z36652
I'm super happy with them. Not sure how long they will last, but they are a real, noticeable upgrade in stopping performance.

Are the Powerstop a direct replacement of front pads? I'll have to do new rotors and pads all around here soon and the Powerstops are only 20 dollars more than the carquest semi-metallic that I've been buying.

Or, you can get sport trac steering knuckles which allow a larger sport trac rotor to be used with the same calipers, brackets, and pads. You will end up with a 1" larger front brake rotor.

Provided your wheels will clear them.
