Thinking out loud about the IFS thing

I took a real good look under a chevy blazer-full size-with a pro comp lift kit--

It looks like my Mounty-except bigger. The torsion bars are lengthened and the brackets moved back-

Why couldn't that be fabbed under an explorer? Control arms and all--

probably could..... but..... would need some manufacurer to build and test... and most aftermarket companies think explorers roll over enough on their own and dont wnat any liability

I think you are better off going with an RCD and ditching the torsion bars. The torsion bars cost a lot of ground clearance.

i agree with dan... all they do is bolt on a crossmember lower

For a serious off road 95-01 truck I would look into a full twin A-arm suspension with coil springs. Using an OEM application is an excellent plan, finding the best one and using it are the tough part. Good luck,
