Does anyone have one b/c i ordered my mac intake and figured if there was a good amount of power out of the throttle body and intake together i might as well just do them at the same time. Im planning on getting it from summit but any other sites or stores are better please let me know

cant answer the question about the throttle body, but have you gotten exhaust yet? I found i got a lot more performance with a flowmaster exhaust than the KKM intake i got.

yea i ordered the flowmaster 50 series today...a local shop is customizing the piping. But i heared alot of really good things about the mac intake and i had the kkm intake on my 91 X and i didnt like it much. I hope to get some good performance with the exhaust and intake and in a few weeks ill order the throttle body.

As you can see below, I have improved the entire intake, filter, MAS, TB and added the chip as well as a good breathing dynaflo exhaust. It makes a very nice package when put together, much more than any single part.

Do them all and you WILL be a happy camper!

Is your 97 the OHV or the Sohc if it is the OHV get the throttle body. I had on on my 95 and it made an nice addition. If you have the sohc no one makes and up graded throttle body.

wouldn't a throttle body upgrade on the OHV be minimized by the IAC? I understood the IAC to be a computer controlled TB. If I'm right, that would keep the same amount of air restriction no matter what size TB you upgrade to.

I don't think the IDLE air control has any effect at Wide Open Throttle, or even partial throttle. It's for maintaining RPM's at idle.

My upgrades have a significant effect.
