Hey all,
I'm new to the forum but am looking for some help on what the problem with my car is and how the fix it.
Anyway i have a 2004 XLT. The other day i was driving down the road and adjusted my heat(i'm not sure if this was the cause but i do not believe it is) as soon as i switched settings this tic tic tic tic tic sound start coming from my dash. I pulled over turned of the radio, heat etc... but it would not stop until i turned off my car. So I turned my car back on opened the hood didn't see anything or hear anything to confirm that the sound was directly coming from my dash.
The sound that it makes is pretty loud i mean turning my radio up 1/2 way and i can still clearly hear the sound.
The sound itself goes in a cycle of 5 to 6 tics repeating over and over again. It sounds like a fan or motor hitting plastic over and over again kind of remind me of a wood pecker.
anyway I'm looking to see if anyone ran into this problem before if so what they did to fix it. Or just any ideas on what it could be and how to fix it.
Thanks
