Time for new tires

It is time to get new tires, however I would like to go a little wider than the stock rims that are on the vehicle now. Any recomendations on what would be a good size to go with without putting a huge dent in my wallet?

Well im really sure what rims but I will tell you that I changed the tires to a bigger size and it was amazing. almost as if it was meant to be. I had the optional stock
235/75/15 (Discovery) pretty nobby. Hated them, they were great in rain/mud but drove me a crazy on the pavement. so after reading countless things on this site. I decied to go 31/10.5/15 It lifted it just enough and the tranny changed in a good way. gears were a little longer. the only thing that was bad was I don't race around corners now. it seems a little soft as before I could take a turn hard and I got these tires a walmart for 88 a piece.
