My stock Michelins are just about gone. I want to stay with the stock size (235/70-16). I do not drive off road or in snow. Priorities are 1. budget 2. quiet 3. ride.

Any suggestions?

If you are staying with the stock size, dont do any offroad driving, and your #1 concern is price, then I suggest going to Costco/sams club and seeing whats on sale. I always have found that most tire places cant match the price at Costco and Sams Club. Dont know if you have any of those in your area.

I recently put on a set of Maxxis Bravo HT-750s for a $76 per tire. They are impressive on wet conditions, in the mud and best of all they are very quiet.

Check them out

pirelli scorpion STRa's they were about $106 Each @ tire rack. The tread rating should make the cost per mile better. They firm up the road ride a little and they are way better than the original X terrains, much quieter.

I replaced my bf's with continental's tr's good ride, quiet. I believe that a paid 116 a piece.Still on after 40,000, will be replacing them this winter.
