time to lift the X

I go offroading about 20 times a year so far i have made a snorkle and put some 30x9.50x15 tires on it i want to put a 3'' body lift and 2'' suspension on it and some bigger tires on it. whats the biggest i can go and keep stock gears? its to cold out to start the body lift and snowing. heres a old pic of my truck.

You can keep the stock gears for any size tire, but anything over a 32" is really going to suck ass. You'll be able to fit 33s with no problem with a 5" lift.

I had 33s and 3.55s...they were ok and i got ok mileage....i never knew better till i upgraded to better gears....

I'm running 31's with 3.08 gears but I am changing out the hole differential with an elocker and probably 4.10 gears

tire size depends on tire brand, my super swomper SSR's are 32x11.50-15's they are 32.50 in Diameter, that is what most 33x12.50-15's are in other brands, i have seen small 35's that would fit with a 5in. lift. but not all.

i looked at this truck...

it has skyjacker 2in lift, 3" bl, and 33x12.50 mud kings, the 33x12.50 mud kings are 32.40 Diameter with 12.30 in. Section Width with no rubbing, so thats how i came up with the tire size i needed. the SSR's in a 32x11.50 have 32.50 Diameter with 11.50 in. Section Width, so it should not have any rubbing and look good also....

and i have 4.10's but have yet to drive on them, so cant say how the do in the truck.....

How much did you pay for the lift kit? I've had that on my wish list for some time now but it will have to wait till some miner repairs are done first.

You also have to decide if this is your daily driver or not. I went with 33's and changed to 4.10 gears. It is no longer my daily driver . Where do you go offroad at? I live 45 minutes from you, up in Michigan.

I agree, I'm running 33 12.5 Mudders with 410's and it's my daily driver.

They are TSL thornbirds, they don't exactally like the paved road. Plus I have another car to drive that gets 28 miles to the gallon.
