This is my first post here.... We are about to lift my girls 2003 mountaineer using the typical tt/AAl. I have a friend who just got a 4-runner with some bfg Ats on it that are brand new. He wants to trade our road tires for his bfgs. however i dont know if they will fit on my factory wheels. We both have 16" wheels my current tires are p245/70R16. His are LT265/75R16
WILL THEY FIT?
thanks for any help.

dont know for sure about the mounties but the 265s will fit on the explorer ... should be the same though ... and welcome to EF

Yes they will fit and you don't even have to do a lift for them to fit either.

By the way, I don't think you're going to be able to do a TT/AAL lift on a 2003Mounty unless I am missing something. The 2002 and up explorer/mounties are all independent strut suspensions front and rear.

Body lift (kit PA-883) and strut spacer lifts (either BTF or Truxx) are the most common ways of doing it.

Here is my truck with a 1.5" body lift (PA 883 3" lift but with the blocks cut in half) and 265/75/16:

Here it is with the same body lift and tires but also with a set of 1.75" front/1.5" rear strut spacers (BTF brand)
