I am looking for new tires for my 96' Explorer. This is my qusteion should I get 235/75/15 or 31X10.5X15 or bigger. Should I go with Goodyear, BFG, Michelin. I want very good mudd tires that would be ok on the street. I drive 95% off road and 5% on road. Would some one give me some help on picking my tires. That would be great. THANKS

If you spend most of your time off road, then I would definitely go with the 31's. 31's are the biggest you can go without a lift. If you want a mud tire, the BFG Mud Terrain KM , and the Goodyear MT/R are supposed to be good tires. I have no experience with real mud tires, so it's just what I've read around here. Hope this helps some.
