OK, there are at least 200 threads on the best off-road tires out there and ppl's different experience with them. Let me see if I can start a thread that will simplify it and leave out the debate.

Let me throw a scenario out to you guys. Your truck is at a point where 33s (12.50) are the perfect size for you. You have $600 in your pocket. But, you are looking for the best bang for your buck. Let's say that you get $3 back for every $1 you have left when done shopping just to encourage shopping smart. You are putting them on your truck, which isn't a DD, but it also isn't a trail rig only. You are not going serious rock crawling, but you will hit some good size rocks along your way. Very little sand. Mainly wooded trails and a little mud, but a good variety thrown in for fun.

It would be nice not to have a thread without a lot of "I had these, they sucked", "I had the same thing, they were great."

PLEASE, just let me know, for this scenario..........what would you buy? Type only please, not your opinion of them.

Thanks Guys!

Best all purpose, do everything tire - BFG ATko.

If you gotta have a mud tire - BFG MTkm or Goodyear MTR.

You can't go wrong with any of these.

I will throw 2 in here.

GoodYear Wrangler MTR's
Super Swamper TSL Radials

I'm with RangerX. Same choices for me. If you're gonna be on the road a lot, the Super Swamper TSL's are noisy!! A buddy of mine has them on a Zuk, and they drown out everything, including conversation.

BFG AT KO or
BFG MT or
ProComp XTerrain

Bridgestone Dueler A/T or if you need the traction, M/T. These are the best all purpose tires that I have ever owned. A close second would be the BFG A/T.

all of you guys recomending AT's- remember, this IS NOT a daily driver per-say. this is a truck that needs to be comfortable on the street and do well on the trails. Robb has his own "work truck daily driver" if im not mistaken.

with that said, i would go with either Swamper SSR's or regular ole' TSL radials. you're obviously not gonna be racking up 20k miles a year on it, and since its not an all out daily driver the noise will be livable. i see no since whatsoever running AT's on anything thats gonna see offroad use when i have something else to drive. just IMHO.

for something a little less radical, i would go with Pro Comp X terrains or the BFG/ Goodyear Muds.

Hey, you just wanted a brand, no explanation....BFG AT KO.....:D
