Wife has stock tires on her 2005 and when we turn it hard left the tire is hitting the bottom back part of the inner removable fender. Anyone else have this problem? What did you do with it? I don't want to cut it.

What size are the tires and does it have stock wheels? If it's stock size and wheels, you have something else to worry about because that shouldn't be happening. Maybe you could use a zip tie to tie it back?

Stock size 245/65-17, but now that you say something the dealer we bought it from replaced the original chrome 5 star rims with, a aluminum ford 5 star rim. Many there now the same offset. I'll take a picture later today.

With the wheels in the straight forward position measure the distance between the rear of the tire and beginning of the wheel well...in other words, the gap.

Let us know if it's the same on each side.

I have the same issue on my 2005, when I first bought it, there was no issue, it had some cheap Uniroyals tires on it. I bought new Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armors and now it rubs. Even thought they are the same size tire, the GY's are a little wider. Also it looks like the inner plastic fender is loose in one spot and needs to be reattached, i just haven't taken the time to mess with it as i will have to take the tire off.

I installed Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armors about 3 months ago..

thats what I'm thinking now.

Something seems amiss.

My '02, on its second set of tires, same wize as OE, are many, many inches from hitting the fender inner liners or the outer fender trim.

My tires don't come close to rubbing, even when the Ex is fully loaded down.
