Tire sizes from stock

My 2002 Explorer Limited came with 245-70-16s as stock size. Can I run a 255 withour any fender or rubbing problems? Can I run a 235 winter tire safely without any load problems?

G,day mate, my Mrs 2002 XLT explorer comes standard in Australia with 255/70/16 but is now running its second set of 265/70/16 Coopers ATR tyres and has never had any issues with rubbing or scraping with stock suspension.
