Tires for my 93 EB

I went to the local Sams the other day to look at the tires there. They informed me that they can only put the stock tire size on my eb because or restrictions by good year. Anybody else had this problem

there are alot of "chain" shops that do this. your best bet is to find an independantly owned shop.

If Goodyear has a restriction like they said try another tire at Sams Club.

Yeah, Sams and discount tire are this way. They wont put aything bigger then 235 on there.

i got Tire Kingdom to put 30x9.50(?) on my ex when it was stock height.

well of course the easy thing would be to take the tires off and then take them in and have them mounted. There are a lot of shops due to the roll over problems that won't mount larger tires on a explorer.. However there are a lot of tire companies that will.. I would just go to another place if they don't want your business..

I work at a sams club and know the guys in the tire dept. So I can get whatever I want on my Explorer.
