Tires with major tread

I am looking to eventually add a lift to my explorer. I am now though in the process of needing new tires for a stock 2000 Explorer Sport. What are the biggest tires I can get with the most wicked tread? A price range and where I can find them would be helpful too.

www.tirerack.com will give you some tires and prices but as for what size you can fit, someone put a chart on here...search for it.
