you might want to find yourself a set of 15 or 16" wheels to go with your tire purchase. going forward it will save you a ton of money because 17" tires cost way more than for the same tire you can get in a 15". i wouldnt be suprised if you could find a set of 15" wheels with the tires you are looking to get for not much more than you can find just a set of 17" tires of the same type.

That's one reason why I went with 33x12.50x15's. I got all five wheels and tires for less then it would've cost me to get a set of four 285/75/16's.

I got the wheels for $43 each from Summit racing and the tires from a local GoodYear shop for $146 a tire ( They not only price matched the price I found on TreaDepot.com, they dropped another $13 off the price of each tire.

It really pays to do a ton of searching for prices and go to different places to see if you can get a better price.

I have stock 16 inch rims on it now what size tire would be a 33 for that 16 inch rim

285/75/16 equals out to be a 32.8x11.2x16, pretty much a 33x11.5x16 rounded off.

would those rims i posted look good in a 16 or should i go with a different style wheel

Don't buy aftermarket 16s. The tires are expensive, even more so than 17s in many instances. If you're getting aftermarket wheels, go 15s and save some money or go 17s and have a common size wheel that'll look better in that style anyway. You'll probably also find it easier and cheaper to get 33s for either of those sizes rather than 16s. Definitely get 8" - 10" widths; I suggest 8", but I'm biased.

Yeah, I agree with Hugh. Those wheels look good in a big size, anything smaller then a 17 wouldn't look right. stay away from 16" 33's. JMO.

I can't find the exact thread but I was wondering what exactly backspacing is on wheels and how is it different than wheel spacers.

Backspacing is the width from the hub to the back of the rim. Do a quick search for "tire calculator". I've posted it on here alot but on my phone and don't have the link available right now.

I'm noticing a lot of wheels come without the center hubs. Are there any aftermarket covers or does it really matter leaving the lugs exposed?

I just put Ford center caps on mine, it doesn't matter if you leave the lug nuts exposed.

How would 35s work on a 15 inch rim?

35x12.5x15 is probably one of the most popular off road wheel/tire setups.

I was asking about the sidewall flex and everything.
Thanks Offtrac. I keep seeing pictures of your truck and 35's are definitely my goal haha.

By the way Dublin's not terribly far from Clemson. If you ever venture up north of I-20 maybe we could meet and ride for a day together some weekend.
