Do you think it's something I should set up here? Would you guys use it?

I know that not all the local clubs have real structure, but maybe this would help?

Anything that will help keep the group runs a bit more organized, and bring the community closer is a good thing in my opinion.

Looks pretty cool to me. The fact that they offer on going support to get it up & running is a major plus. Being able to reach local adverts and create additional revenue is great. I think this site has a strong footing, and this couldn't hurt it.

Would be great to draw in the massive amounts of fellow wheelers around my area as well. Were everywhere, but there is not that many clubs based here. Would this draw clubs together?

:scratch:..Quick question...Would it officially be solely an EF forum add-on or would we need to start a club outside of EF first?

..I'm thinking this would replace our current "Community" section..

This isn't a forum, it's just a listing of clubs like our new Vendors link. Take a look at the Vendors link in the navigation bar, and look at the various ways of seeing the info, ie alphabetical, maps, etc...

BTW... The add-on would show a link to the clubs page that's already in our forum...

Ahh, so we have to have a club to join it. Register the club, and then it is listed for others to see. Also we can use it to search out other clubs.

..I noticed the new Vendors button yesterday..Now I get the format..

..I do not know of any local RBV clubs but will toss my hat in to get one started and this option may be the beginning of something greater...

..I'm about ready to do another Main Divide Rd. with camping and meet and greet this time...Scouted all the local sites last week..

..If we don't need something official like a website or some legal thing, this could get a number of RBV clubs started on the cheap..:biggthump

..Hopefully it may be announced in the new calender section if Rick goes thru with this and somehow we can start a club easily..

..Otherwise, announcement for run toward the end of the month in the next week or so as I am hoping for a cooler weather trend as it's 100* plus on parts of the hill right now with Extreme fire danger..

..Hoping this isn't offtrack for the thread nor is it taking over the thread but could be useful if this is going to happen as there could be many start-up clubs born from this add-on..

...I think this could work for gaining new members from all over...This is similar to another social program that other outdoor and offroad people use across the country..

..Those groups/clubs are all serious organizations into the members fees, elected officials, monthly meetings, and records of everything..

...I'm thinking simple for now and see if it's grows..A name would help draw interest to gatherings so there are two options if this would even start..The club name in my previous post would have to be ok'd by Rick for obvious reasons..

..The other name would be "SoCal RBV's"...

...This would be the initial name and can be voted on and changed later but like EF, it doesn't discriminate against street, stock, offroad, etc...Everyone is welcome as long as they behave..:biggthump
