To those who went from 1st gen to 2nd gen front clip

Did you rewire your headlight circuit to work with the 9007 bulbs that the 2nd gen takes? I modified my original bulbs to fit the new sockets. Trouble is the light pattern is way off due to the difference in filiment placement.

What's the fix?? I've had it like this for YEARS and am sick of it.

Rick, I would fit the correct bulb to the lense, and match the connector. My project has turned into fixing a 99 with my rear 93 body. So mine will have almost all 99 wiring, etc. Good luck,

Can you not solder the 98 socket-harness to the 93 wiring?

Rock auto sells the sockets for relatively cheap... less then $10 if I remember correctly.

Advance Auto sells the correct connectors for them here. Just clip off yours and splice the new one on.
