nice

i received my "neighborhood" disturbing the peace fine of $100 but i have 365 days to pay it. Stupid neighborhood watchman don't have nothing better to do.

Are you kidding me? Thats the dumbest thing I ever heard. I guess people get offended when other people have a little fun LOL

No, unless that's his property he's on, what is dumb is wheeling where you're not supposed to be on private property! It gives offroaders a bad name and helps the cause to shut down legitimate offroading areas.

I didnt know it was private property....I stay away from them places :p: lol

Theres a spot where I went with a friend once a couple years back in Dundee, about 20 minutes from me, it was a good mudding place, and had a decent trail, nothing big at all though, but now theres a sign blocking the entrance that says something like
"DONT EVEN THINK ABOUT HUNTING OR OFF ROADING HERE"

...So we all assumed maybe it was private property haha

You didn't know it was private property? There are houses everywhere in your pics... if it isn't yours, who do you think owns it? Serioulsy, guys are always driving where they have no business being and giving wheelers a bad name. Unless you own it or have express permission from the owner or it's government land you know you're allowed to be on, stay off it. "I didn't know" is about the weakest excuse there is.

Why dont you look at the name of the person who POSTED this thread, the person who GOT STUCK and tell this to him, damn dude.

Ok, I miss read the thread. I can restate my post then...

JGarrison - If it's not yours, stay off. Makes wheelers look bad.

BrianDye - The "spot where I went with a friend once a couple years back" was private property as well. Even without the sign, why were you in there? Did you own it? Did you have permisson from the person who did? It sucks that the owner had to put up a sign to keep out the ignorant.

I talk to a lot of land owners that are so sick of guys ripping up their private land without permission. When it comes to off-road areas being shut down, they are the first in line to sign the petition... We need to make a good impression on everyone we come in contact with. It sucks but it could make wheeling hard for everyone if we don't try and be a good representaion of the off-road commnuity. "Urban Wheeling" is never cool. Wheeling on private land without permission is never cool. That's it, that's all.

Again, I appoligize for how I read the posts the first time.

This is the lot next to mine and it is going to be a park..... it is a new neighborhood they run four wheelers and dirt bikes all day around here and they never get sited and i pay $2500 every year to live in this neighbor hood to pay for the parks that are not even there so we have deemed them "play lots till they put the parks in.

Luckily for me there are quite a few places that are designated offroad areas around where I live. I have Batchelor heights, Inks lake, Greenstone, mcconnel, etc etc. I love Canada.

Hate to say it but you were still were you should not have been and all it takes it the right person at the right time with you in the wrong place at the right time. Matters not what you pay or what you call it. what matters is what the land owner says or a home owners group say. I know it stinks but that how it is.

I saw a local place here that had been used by offroaders for years and years get shut down because one 4x4 truck made one mistake. Because of what he did (I knew the driver and property owner) the owner and the city closed it down for good! Yes others may use a place and you may have gotten away with it before but that still dose not make it right and we after all already have trouble fighting a reputation we do not fully deserve so why make it worse in any way shape or form. Want to wheel and have fun join a sanctioned national 4x4 club and go with them. Not only fun but also good PR for 4 x 4 offroaders when you also are out there doing good things like trail maintenance or litter pick up as a group.

If it's one thing we can all learn from this , it'as that if you want to go offroading , buy a tractor , lol.
