Torsion Bar options for a 1997 Limited?

On the front of the bar, cast in, you will see a 3 character code.
- "R" or "L" for right or left
- "U" ... ?
- "spring code" ie... 1,2,A,B,F, etc

My bars say R UL and L UL. The code on my door decal says UL. Ive got the v6 sohc.

I would have to guess "L" code springs.

ok, I had a set of 'A' bars lined up but the seller bailed :(

I believe I have, or will now, post a 'wanted' ad. Anyone have some 'A' or '1' bars, please PM me.

Will I get slapped if I say coilover?

You never know, someone may slap you... But I dont think it will be for saying coilovers. :D

It just seems to be the obvious solution.
I thought there might be a reason why no one has mentioned it yet.

Ya It might be, but I'd like to see how this venture goes. I have already bought the new keys from Suspension MaXX ( http://www.suspensionmaxx.com/ford-ranger-4x4-2-inch-leveling-kit-front-1997-2011 ) based on getting my hands on the A bars, then the seller bailed, not entirely sure why.

Getting into coil overs seems like another research goose chase at this point. Although it would allow me to decipher if the clunking im getting is coming from the Keys/Bar/Lower Control arm...

I guess we shall see!
