Towing, lighting

I,ve recently bought an Explorer 4 ltr sohc 1997 and at the stage of having fitted the tow bar and now doing the wiring.

Bearing in mind that I'm over the pond in England, I am fitting the euro type conector and can't fit the USA wiring. The problem is that there is no electrical supply to the tow wiring from the left rear lighting unit. The wires are all in place down to the bumper (sorry, that would be fender for you ) and want to know how to get this live. Is there a fuse missing that will do the job, and if so which number should this be and what rating for the fuse.

I have not got the hand book yet as the man at ford is on holliday and of course in England I have to wait for him to return cos no one else could possibly order it for me. (this is normal in England, and you will all be amazed at this wonderful customer service over here!)

Any help would be much appreciated.

If yours is like ours there is a T connector that goes into the wiring harness under the left tail light. It has a pigtail that supplys the power for the trailer lights.
Search Gen. Exp. for trailer lights. Some good info there re. wire color ect.
