If thats just a personal water craft, then its probably fine. Just dont forget to put a pin on that ball latch.

I would almost try and find one that drops even lower normally you want it to sit level or have the trailer pointing down a little, but if it only weighs a few hundred pounds then it is probably fine.

That's still only a 7-1/2" drop, and a 2" drawbar... he's already got a 6" drop and a 1-1/4" receiver... Won't work.

He needs a bolt-on receiver. While it'll look weird having the double receiver setup, functionally, a 2" receiver bolted below the factory one will help out. It'll get you another 4-5" of drop. Combine that with the afore-mentioned adjustable unit, or a regular ol' 6" drop mount and it'll work just fine.

As mentioned, on a single place jet ski trailer, it probably won't make much of a difference either way. But I'd want it a little closer to level than it is.

That hitch will work fine for what you have hooked to it.

My son was pulling a Jeep on a twin-axle steel trailer using a deep drop hitch on his Superduty. A semi ran him off the road and he ended up running the entire rig onto a rock outcropping in the median (saved his life, crossing over in that area kills over 20 a year!). The entire trailer and Jeep were totalled. The hitch stayed intact, except the ball end bend down to about a 45 degree angle. It never came unhooked. That load was probably close to 7000 pounds...
