i have a 1998 ford explorer 4x2 with a "x" 4.0 v-6, and an axle code of 46-open 373 ratio. this ex did not come with the towing package. i plan on towing a travel trailer with a max load of 4000 lbs. my questions are:
1 what type of tranny cooler should i get? an aftermarket, or one like what came from the factory.
2 i compared the radiator for cooling purposes against a ex with a v-8, and there was not that much difference. should i keep what i have?
3 i plan on having a load distributing hitch and elec brakes on the trailer. all the info i am hearing is that i can tow with no problems. any input?
