Hello, I'm a long time owner of a 93 ex. But never towed with it! Show me pictures of your ex towing a trailer and specs please! Thanks.

I don't have any pictures but I have dragged my little 4x9 trailer around behind my '92 quite a bit. It weighs probably around 500lbs and I'm guessing I've had as much as 1500lbs of cargo on it. It pulls fine but that's about the most I'd want to put behind it - I have an F250 if I need to haul anything bigger.

I have also towed a 3,500 LB camping trailer.

Keep towing with the A4LD 91-94 transmissions very light, and rarely. Those were created in the mid 80's for lighter weight Thunderbird's, even 4 cylinder cars. They don't like to be pushed hard, get a bigger external cooler and plumb it in parallel to any other existing cooler.

I've towed with my mine a few times when it was more stock. I don't recommend it unless it's really light.

My Explorer towing our Four Winns H180. 18' open bow boat that weighs in about 3,500 lbs with trailer, fuel and gear. Towed it as far as 264 miles (one way) to go fishing. Pulled it just fine, just stayed at about 65 mph most of the way.

What kind of mods have you done to your explorer? I love the look of it! Wish I could’ve gotten mine in blue ;) thanks in advance !
Hey sorry for the late response, there is not much done to it, I built the bumper/brush bar, it has add a leafs and Monroe air shocks, and a light bar, air horn, high flow cat, and I think that's about all the major mods.
