Hi ~

When driving slow near idle (10/15mph) and releasing the throttle
or
Quickly letting off the gas after acceleration near when it's about to shift, I get a clunk from the tranny, like it kinda shifted alittle late.
or
when in stop and go traffic, you give it some gas to move up but let off near a shift (you can feel it comming) ya get a clunk!

Ideas anybody??

greatly appreciated

I had the same problem with mine since I bought it in 97. After replacing everything in stips I am almost 98% sure that this thumping is caused by the transmission mount. Even new they have a lot of play in them. It could also be the slip joint on the rear driveshaft. I am 98% sure it is the tranny mount though as I greased the slip joint of the driveshaft and replaced the tranny mount at the same time. I used a poly mount from energy suspension but I had to modify my tranny crossmember with new holes as it doesn't bolt in directly.
