Tranny Pan Gasket

does anybody know/have experience with the so called "reusable" gasket on these tranny pans, 2000 ford explorer EB, 5.0 4R70W TRANS.

If what you mean is the OEM (or equivalent), metal-backed one, the answer is yes. Took it off and reinstalled many times without a hitch.

You can reuse it but just use judgement. If it looks like hell you may want to get a new one. But usually they're ok.
 






I've had the pan off my 4R70W twice now, both times I've had a new "floppy" style gasket, both times I've reused the OEM one and pitched the floppy gaskets in the trash.

The OEM reusable really are reusable and their construction makes it near impossible to over tighten the bolts, warp the pan and damaged a more mundane gasket.
