I was driving happily along my way to work the other day and after accelerating thru 1st - 3rd normally my tranny shifted into OD. as soon as it shifted into OD my Engine Revved up and I slowly came to a stop.
I looked under the vechile. no loss of fluid. I checked the fluid level. It was MAYBE a pint low. The oil was nice and red. no burnt smell at all.
I went ahead and topped it off. I have no gears what-soever. I start the truck. Put it in 1, 2, D or R and no movement.
There was never any warning(no slipping of tranny, etc.) Just BOOM went out when i hit OD.
It is a 93 explorer 4X4. does anyone have any clue what this issue might be?
