Tranny swap help...

the tranny in my 91 explore was slipping and i replaced it with a tranny out of a 92 for explorer both automatics.. i got the old one out east and i have the new onr all lined up and the rod is 75% in the torque converter and it wont budge any more.... im stumped.. any sugestions??

By rod, are you referring to the input shaft on the trans? If so, spin the torque converter and push in at the same time. It should go the extra 25% needed. Also, make sure the input shafts have the same spline count. Good luck man.
