What is the difference between the adjustable tranny vacuum modulator and the regular one? Also witch one is the best to get?

IIRC (and I'm not 100% positive), the adjustable one will allow the shift points to be altered slightly by changing how much vacuum the tranny sees.

BTW..moving to the transmission forum

thanks

There is also a third one which is made for turbo equipped vehicles. I think they have preset shift points which are a little different than the regular calibration. Be careful not to lose the pin when you replace it. Check the spool which is front of it for any binding. Put petroleum jelly (Vaseline) on the parts you pull out to hold them while reassembling everything.

thanks i am going up to the gittin place to git a new tranny vacuum modulator tomarrow

Hey what is the professional name for the “transmission vacuum modulator”? I was thinking about going into town today but first I think I am gunna call all the auto parts store to see witch one has it and I dint want to seem like an idiot for calling it the wrong name.
