So here's the run down, I just got back from being overseas and I bought a used 99 Explorer 4.0l V 6 4WD. Since it was used and a few years old I have the oil changed, trans fluid changed, plugs changed, new foster and pads, and tires. How I have a trans fluid leak. It not from the front of the tyranny, its in the area of the trans pan. The bolts are tight and mercon v was used. Not wanting to deal with it Sears looked at it and said its the gasket and take it back to the place that did it. The place that did it said it wasn't and it was a seal and they would have to drop the trans, they seemed a lil shady. So any common issues or suggestion come to mind? My shot in the dark is the gasket or a cooling line????

Welcome to the site dude.

Get under there and clean it up, then you'll be able to see where it is coming from.

You using a phone with auto correct by chance? Just wondering what a foster is...:D

Yeah damn auto correct, meant rotors. Yea was planning on it when I get a free min. But I have heard there's lots of problems like this and just want to make sure it isn't something dumb that I can fix I. 10 mins.
