transmission fitment issues...help

help, i've been chasing for 2 days now on this question and i can't quite come up with a yes or no answer. the 5r55e transmission in my 1998 exploder sport with the 4.0 sohc engine exploded .!!!... i found a 1999 explorer sport with the 4.0 ohv engine that has been rolled for a parts truck but before i purchase it i need to know does it have the same 5r55e tranny? and will it bolt up? are the mount bolts to the engine the same? gear ratios? transfer case? the tags on both driver doors in( i believe the trans code) are marked (d) . if it's any help the vin on my truck is "1fmyu24e3wub65613" and the vin on the proposed donor truck is "1fmyu24x5xuc29668" please help as i need a fast answer before my potential donor goes to the crusher

Trans should be the same for SOHC and OHV. The only issue is 2wd vs. 4wd. AFAIK, 98 - 99 shouldn't have any significant differences.

Ditto. it *should* fit and be a direct swap.
