- 2002 ford sport trac
I have a 2002 ford sport trac. For a while I have had to pull the fuses to my four wheel drive to get it to work. But after it sitting for a few hours I had to pull them again.
Well today while heading to work, with lots of snow I tried to engage the 4WD and nothin pulled the fuses and still nothin. I figured I would drive it in RWD because it is ok under these conditions. When I got about a mile from my house The engine was running but had no gear. Pulled into the median and put into park and heard a spinning noise. Shut the truck off then back on. Truck went into gear and I was able to engage the 4WD. Drove the truck home but stayed at low speeds, and drove my other vehicle. Truck didnt seem to have a loss of power.
What would cause this?
Has anyone ever heard of this issue?
