Transmission Pan swappable? (5r, 4r, a4)

i'm looking for a 5r55e transmission pan but the v6 explorers i find in the yards around my town all have either the A4LD or the 4R series transmission. Are the tranny pans from these compatible with the 5r55E?

Not likely, they might be but I would check the bolt pattern carefully first.
the filters are also different.
You can put a 2wd pan on a 4wd truck and vise versa, but only if you swap filters as well. Not sure about interchangability between the different versions of the auto

All three trannys use the same pan. . .though as mentioned there is a difference between the 2wd and 4wd pan.
