Transmission problems.

I have a 1992 explorer sport all stock. my tranny just went out on me one day at the bank and when i shifted it into gear, nothing happened and it just sat there in gear with my foot off the clutch. i towed it home cranked it up again and then i couldnt put it into any gear at all. It WILL NOT SHIFT INTO ANY GEAR WHAT SO EVER! what caused this and what is the solution? please help!

I'll go with wishful thinking first... could it be the shifter cables? Does it feel like it goes in and out of gear?

Probably not the tranny, could be shift linkages or the clutch or pilot bearing/throwout bearing. Does it make any noise in gear, clutch engaged (foot off the clutch)?

has ur tranny been slipping? if so u need a new clutch. just put 1 in my 94 exp
