Hey i have a real fast question for all the explorer guys here. I found a good deal on a 98 explorer xlt v8 awd. The truck runs and drives excellent. Except for theres no reverse. The guy that has it now said that he just had a new radiator put in and about a week after he got it out of the shop the reverse went out. I thought it was a linkage problem but i disconnected the linkage completly and shifted the transmission by hand and it goes straight from Park into where Reverse should be but its still park. Then when shifted into Neutral it starts going forward. Im not a transmission guy, so im lost here. But it just barely has 100k on it and he only wants $700 for it because he cant afford to send it to a shop...Any help yall have would be excellent.
