I also agree. Plus, the 1st gen intake runs pretty close to the radiator as well.

Just wanted to make sure that everyone thought it through. I wasn't too sure myself which would be better. We wouldn't know for sure unless some test were conducted.

1st gen X, I'm in. Black is fine.

i know its only been about 2 weeks since this thread was started, but im really friggen excited about this. rick, any new developments with the guys over at kkm? how many interested people is he looking for? (im assuming he wants more than 48 ;) )

Where do we start........... We will probably look at offering the first generation 4.0L intake tube first. This unit has the most restriction, so it would benefit the most from replacement. Other years and engines would follow in a similar order of importance. The tube size and diameters would be identical to stock, with the same routing as well. The construction will include a high temp silicone inner liner with a nylon reinforced outer sleeve of what is known as a wipe down surface. There will be no convolutions or accordian sections to disrupt airflow, yet it will be made of a resiliant enough material to withstand the constant engine torque motion. Sorry, but expect all colors to be Black, Black, or Black. The expected release date of such item will be mid-late Janurary. No price range can be quoted at this time, but one should expect them to be as resonable as the rest of our product line. If you have any other questions, I will try to check up a couple times per day.

warren, will these also have the provision for our pcv tube?

That's not a PCV tube Jim, that's a breather tube. The PCV tube is in the valve cover.

Thanks for joining the discussion Warren :D

Thank you, Warren. We appreciate all that you are doing on this project. Mike

All intake tubes will feature ports for crankcase vent lines and IAT probes on later models.

doh!... rick you are right....well, i meant cranckcase vent and just automatically associated pcv with that
