Turn Signal Alarm?

2007 EX, Limited, 4.6L V8. I was driving home yesterday and after switching lanes, I accidentally left my turn signal on (yeah, I know. It always bugs me too when I see another car doing this.). A little while later, I heard a "constant chime." I looked down and saw my signal was on so I turned it off and the chime stopped.

I've never heard of a turn signal alarm before. Is this a normal feature or did I miss something important?

How long was your signal going before it started to "Chime"?
I want to see if mine does the same thing.

I don't really remember how long my signal was on before the chime started, but I guess approx. 1-2 miles? I might try it again today just to see.

Turn signal warning chime:

Sounds when the turn signal lever has been activated to signal a turn and not turned off after the vehicle is driven more than 2 miles (3.2 km)
