This sounds more like a question for black magic, I remember reading something about it from him before, but I'll fire away. I have clear corners on my '02 x, and was wondering, if I use a high temp paint on the bulb, to get rid of the yellow color during the day, does it still appear somewhat yellow when it lights up at night? The whole I idea being I dont want to get pulled over for somehting stupid.

Yes, many folks used High Temp Silver paint with just a dusitng of paint on the bulb to blank out the amber untill lit.

However, I purchaced the Titanium bulbs from StreetBeatCustoms.com. I am not sure if they are in business. You can go by your local Ricer Shop, Auto Zone, Pep Boys, ect... And get them. You need 3157, Amber flashing.

Good Luck and let me know if you need anyother help

Thanks again.

Sylvania makes a bulb that is bluish silver, not really chrome color that lights up amber when on. 100% street legal and will not lower the light output like painting the bulb.

Actually, just picked up the sylvanias. I was impressed. Very nice. Thanks.

one tip... tokeep the metal contacts from being sprayed, I just put on a plastic glove and held the bulb and then sprayed it. This is an easy way and you dont have to worry about putting on tape.

Last night I was at Meijer's and I found chrome bulbs there for $3.99 per bulb. The package says it the 3057 but it's really the 3157. I checked the bulb with a 3157 and the contacts match perfectly. The package is all black and is with the other automotive bulbs. There was other size bulbs that were chromed but I can't remember what the numbers.

anybody have a link where i can check out/buy the sylvanias?

I also picked up the silverstar headlights, and wow. Very nice. I did notice that sylvania's expected average life for those is about a year. Not exactly sure how long regular halogens are, but I believe it is a lot longer. I think that's about the only drawback, cost excluded.
