While browsing ebay I stumbled upon a twin turbo setup for 5.0 Mustangs for a bit over 1K$, I'm not wanting this myself because I have a 4.0, but would it fit proporly in a 5.0 X do you think? heres the linkEbay twinturbo

Cheers

Twin turbos on an Explorer would be tough. It's mighty tight.

With different manifolds and a very large amount of custom work and trial & error, this kit could be adapted. I would expect some difficulty with clearance issues in the relatively small engine compartment. It would also need considerable tuning for easy drivability- all this takes a lot of time and persistence.

Perhaps a younger member here would be willing to take on a twin turbo explorer project?

ill do it if someone pays for it haha

im am in the process of turbo chargeing my 96 xlt v8 it is a 68mm single though and its an sts set up all custom tried to pull my single turbo kit off my mustang and swap it on to my x but it wouldnot clear at all would have had to cu a big hole in the hood and the turbo wouold actually stick out about 3 1/2 inches so i wouldnt waste my money on a mustang kit to try an adapt
