UK owner q's

hi all,

first post here, i am a UK owner with a RHD 4.0 sohc '98 Xplorer. i have read numerous threads about suspension and really interested in dropping 2-3 inches. are there any UK owners who have done this and did you get the blocks for the rear in the UK?? if so, where?? i was thinking maybe a classic capri specialist maybe able to help??

i would buy from the USA but every company i have contacted regarding parts will not ship. i would love an exhaust also but no US company will help, this is so annoying!!! all i can find in the UK is a second generation K&N induction kit for around 150 quid (300 bucks-ish). any links for UK stuff or US willing to ship would be great as i so wanna treat this great truck.

i plan to drop it, smoke the glass and maybe a few engine mods then later sort some wheels. they are so rare over here its great. so different to the jap shogun or the landrover brigade.

Go to a exhaust specialty garage & have them make you what you want.....

have thought of that, but a tail pipe welded to fit doesn't inspire me with the confidence of a properly designed exhaust specifically for my explorer. Is this the only option for a UK owner??

there must be more UK owners out there!!! let me know of your experiences of modifying your truck and more importantly where you sourced the parts.

Welcome to the site Greg, I have read of the issues of shipping overseas often. Try to be patient in your searches, usually your best answer will be the one with the lowest shipping. Plus the dealerships out of the US evidently have ridiculous price mark ups. Try to get used to eBay, the US based site.

There are a lot more sellers there on eBay who will ship internationally. Plus the market is more competitive there, they compete with the big mail order places here, plus the huge number of parts stores. Good luck,
