Gauge layout will be key. I'm back to using the factory configuration, But I'm still debating what gauges I want..
Since the Honda has a tach, I find myself really only using it daily for instant and average MPG, distance to empty and fuel left. Otherwise I use it for reading the pending codes (it has an alarm when one is set) and to check/clear the pending and real codes.
As for where to put it.. I left mind in the bottom left of the windsheild. I just have the cable piled up there for now as I really need to move it off the dash to keep it out of the sun even if I have the windshield shade to try to keep the temps down on it. I've seen > 170F a few times reported when I start the car.
