97 UK XLT, 99 Sport V8,
I've searched n searched and can't find any answers on this.

I've got a 99 sport, OHV V6... and I can get a low mileage, low cost 97 V8....

Is it too much of a hassle to swap it all in, or is it doable, I'm thinking about going V8 anyway, but wondering if the wiring differences would cause too much probs?

all input would be great,

Thanks

Si

If you buy the whole truck you will have all the parts-except for a rear drive shaft. Go for it.

What about the fuel lines? 1998 is returnless correct? 1997 is not.

My 1998 is a return type fuel system. I am not sure which year the OHV went to returnless

Regardless, he will have all the stuff he needs I think.

I believe it was '99 when they went return-less...

I have seen 98s with 4.0 with return style fuel line.

That's what I'm trying to find out, is it too much hassle to make it a "return" fuel system, or is it not possible? or would it be less hassle to just get a whole 99 V8 and swap the bits over???

Thanks guys

Si

It will always be easier to have the doner car nearby. Guaranteed trips to the yard otherwise.

And what about the wiring for the transmission? is that the same plug?
