Vent Control Broken

I have a 96 and my air vent control is broken. The knob works fine and feels like it's working but it's just stuck on the windshield defrost setting. I can't get the air to blow out of any other vents. If anyone knows what the problem is and how to fix it that'd be great, thanks.

Thanks, but i found out what the problem was, turns out i lost vacuum. There was a hole in my vacuum resevior and, albeit not a true repair, i fixed it with duct tape and now it works great again.

Where is the vacuum res located?

Usually in the front of the passenger side fender well behind the fender liner.
