Until I can get a new cell phone, I'm using an old phone that I got from a friend. It synced fine, but I'm having problems with the Phonebook.

I cannot seem to get it to download MY contacts. It will only download my friend's contacts. I deleted all of the old contacts in the phone, and added mine.
I deleted the entire Phonebook in the car, and re-downloaded it. When I re-download it, it still somehow downloads only all the old contacts....Even though currently the old contacts are not even in the cell phone.

Also, I deleted the phone, and re-connected it. I took the battery in and out of the phone.

Can anyone help?

Does your phone have a SIM card? If so, did you make sure that the contacts on the SIM card were deleted? Also, some phone address books only show certain contact lists...did you make sure that no names/numbers were being hidden from the address book? For example, I use an Android phone, and my address book only shows a small fraction of all the contact list entries because there are some lists I don't want to view on a day to day basis, however they all show up in the Ex after a PB sync.

You wouldn't happen to be the guy who lost the iPhone 5 at a gay bar in San Francisco by any chance? :p:

Thanks for your reply.
This is an older LG (Verizon) phone. There's a spot for a micro SD card, but there's no card in it.
I don't think there's any hidden contacts, but how would I find out? I wouldn't mind if the old contacts were displayed on the MFT Phonebook, but I really want MY OWN contacts as well.

Look up the manual for the phone and see if there is a way to do a factory reset. That should wipe the phone clean. You'll have to re-add your contacts after.
