Having a problem with a shimmy when i go to brake. Brakes done about 4 months ago and rotors were replaced prior. The harder i brake the worse the shimmy.

Was wondering if it has anything to do with the anti-lock brake sensors??? Or anyones input appreciated......

is the vibration in you pedal......for instance does the pedal bounce as you apply it and it feels that th whole vehicle shakes like a bee-ach.

do you normally brake hard? if that is your style you probably have warped rotors.

I don't normally brake real hard and can't remmeber the last time i have.... I try to make my brakes last as long as possible, so i don't ride em or anything.

But i will verify if i feel any vibration in the pedal in a few.

probably warped rotors....take it to any brake shop and they will inspect them for free.

Sounds like warped rotors to me. My truck had the vibe under braking, and it was worse the harder you braked. For a time I thought it was the ABS, but then I had the rotors machined and that stopped the brake vibe.

You might check your pads too, because the warped rotors on mine wore the pads prematurely. I was getting a lot of brake dust with the warped rotors.
